✦ AA girls getting boba tea ✦

A few days ago I felt like drawing Ema, Kay, Maya and Franziska hanging out and drinking boba tea, cuz I really like the idea of these four having a friendship group :-D however, I unfortunately couldn't fit all four characters in so I (mostly) cut Franziska from the pic. Sorry Fran fans! I do love her but, I wanted to draw the other three girls a bit more (cuz that's just the mood I was in) and didn't want to stray away from this specific concept as I felt really inspired to draw them walking while chatting with boba tea.

Overall I do like how this picture came out, even if I definitely rushed it a bit (I think this was mostly because I got hyped over getting time to draw again, cuz I've been busy on and off). Unfortunately I lost my favourite brush liner before doing lineart on this and halfway threw my other liner magically dried up! So that was frustrating but, I worked around it and want to regain confidence in using fine liners so kind of a useful problem lol. I also decided to change up how I draw Kay in my art style a little and I think I like it :3 And, really like the outfits I gave the girls. Even if they are simple. They're also summer outfits because Australia is once again breaking the record for hottest summer (and it's still technically spring (⁠´⁠-⁠﹏⁠-⁠`⁠；⁠)). Fun fact, Ema is wearing a striped shirt as a reference to the stripe motifs in her aai design!

Now time for boba tea hc's cuz why not XD. Maya has a Taro milk tea with the regular black pearls, because it's purple and in my mind Taro and chocolate being her favourite flavours just makes sense. Kay has a iced tea with lychee jelly (mainly cuz I didn't feel like colouring the jelly but I see Kay liking lychee), idk what flavour her tea is, but it's probably a fruit flavour cuz in my experience ice teas are often fruit flavours. I also have the random hc that whenever Kay gets boba around Miles she gets a weird combo (e.g. chocolate milk tea with green apple pearls) just to see his upset reaction lol.

Ema and Franziska also have boba, you just can see it cuz Ema has them in a shopping bag which Kay is in front of. As for flavours, Ema's is definitely chocolate milk tea cuz her snacks in the English version of the games seem to be similar to tee vee snacks (idk if tee vee snacks are a thing in us, if they aren't they are small long cookies cotted in chocolate, kinda like pocky but much shorter, but thicker and fully coated) though I can also see her getting brown sugar with black pearls. Franziska I could see getting something like the regular tea flavour (which is called "Thai tea" or "original flavour" depending on the boba shop I go to) with no pearls or jelly because in my mind she doesn't like them :P, in general I don't think she'd like a lot of sweet flavours but that's because I hc her as not liking sweet food for no logical reason, my brain has simply decided this ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Costumes and Hairstyle:

Asha is the character in my rewrite with the most outfit changes. The outfits are there to show that I can't stop drawing outfits, it's become a problem her character has changed.

Just like her dresses, her hair will also reflect her character growth, becoming more open the more the story progresses. Here you can see little sketches I made that show her different hairstyles.

(I drew this one just for fun. I might use it in the epilouge or maybe not. But I thought I could show it to you anyway.)

And for those who were (probably not) wondering, yes, I did take inspiration from these pieces of concept art.

I personally like the orange/red/pink colors here more than the purple dress they ended up giving her, but to each their own.

About the Character:

Asha is creative and loves to draw. But she has not alot of time drawing what she wants to draw, for she is almost always busy designing royal invitations. You see, everytime new people arrive to become citizens (that happens times almost every month), the royals celebrate everyone's arrival with a party at the end of the week. It is for this party that Asha has to design and draw all of the invitations for. But it's not that simple because her parents (espacially her dad) are perfectionists and so they are very picky. Asha usually has to come up with 10 designs before her parents are happy with one.

Asha has three different sketch-books, two of which she hides from her parents:

One for all the drawings she does for her parents,

One where she writes and draws plans and ideas down for when she's queen, (She rarely shows it to her parents)

And the third one is her diary. In that she writes all of her feelings. Shr mostly writes about how left out she feels: She's barely in any of the royal family portraits and she's not included in the statue of her family that stands in the city.

She does try to talk about it and while her parents do listen, they don't seem to take it seriously, saying things like that 'a princess shouldn't seek so much attention from others' or that 'she's too young' and that 'she needs to prove herself worthy first to deserve a part in the statue. Her parents clearly earned it because they fought in war and rebuild the kingdom, but she didn't do anything like that'.

So she tries everything to make her parents proud of her: She wears what they tell her to wear (her entire act 1 wardrobe is chosen by her parents, but not the cape), she draws what they tell her to draw (even if it means that she needs to draw behind her parents, and not next to them), she stops talking when her parents think that she talks to much. She even refuses to eat, just so that her father will finally be happy with her appearance.

But everytime her parents hug her, aknowledge her birthday (there were a few times where they did not celebrate it because of the "welcome-parties" that I mentioned earlier) or when they tell her that they love her, she finds new hope and believes that, one day, all her attempts will finally pay off.

During the run-time of the movie, Asha learns (with the help of her friends) to break free from her toxic parents, to fight for herself and others and that she is more than her parents made her herself think to be. She also discovers something that could potentially change her entire life forever...

A Long Road Home - Page 81

Page 81

Imogen’s outfit here came from some concept art I drew for a 1950s-themed Bells Hells cosplay.

(Which you can see in person on this post!)

The plant Imogen is using to stuff the mattress is lady’s bedstraw, which, as its name suggests, was traditionally used as mattress stuffing because of its vanilla-like scent and natural insect-repelling properties. (She is not actually stuffing fresh damp flowers into the mattress; there’s a desiccated pile of them next to her that she has dried out presumably with prestidigitation.)

The middle panel here was originally different and showed them settling into their new home:

Panel 3: Evening. There's a fire in the wood stove, now cleaned of rust. The loft is furnished with the straw mattress and the blankets and furs from their bedrolls. A sideways wooden box nailed to the wall forms a kitchen shelf on which are stacked a few dishes and cups. (NB every time we see the cups they have switched between being rightside-up and upside-down.) The washtub and some pots and pans hang on the walls. A table made of crates and boards holds a vase of colored leaves. There's a rag rug on the floor. Sitting by the fire, Laudna is sewing a quilt patch from odd fabric scraps she has collected, with Pâté and Calamari beside her. Imogen is stretched out nearby on the rug, reading. It's very cozy.

I even got as far as sketching it but I felt like I needed to address how the two most noodle-armed farm girls in Exandria managed to get the dead tree off the roof with their combined strength of 13. (As unfortunately it’s too early for Imogen to levitate it off using Telekinesis or Laudna to simply ask it to roll away with Animate Objects.)

My friend Snow and I brainstormed for a little bit and came up with using pulleys and levers, having a friendly monster carry it away, or just leaving it there and using it as a coat rack, but in the end I decided that Imogen’s lightning magic could probably break it into pieces with the least amount of visual explanation.

Laudna working on a quilt was meant to be a recurring visual motif throughout this chapter though so I will have to find a way to put that in later.

The underlying sketch of the last panel is REALLY old, it was from that unfinished comic I have mentioned before that I was channeling all of my frantic energy into between episodes 33 and 34. So long before they had any kind of established romantic interest in each other. They were just Like That.

It was late and by the time I was painting the interior objects I was too tired to create a new color palette so the rug is just the Southern Gothic server colors. ;)

Okay hi I’ve been working on these on and off all month (mostly off I got really busy whoops) and I have A LOT of thoughts about a Legbone wedding (ft. the drawtectives cause they really are my blorbos) 

Anyways here’s a list of headcannons that I didn’t get to draw:

So right off the bat let’s talk OUTFITS

To me Legzi and Ryjinah had gone looking for dresses but Legzi wasn’t really pumped about any of them 

So maybe they went on a road trip (because ladies bookclub road trips my beloved) to either go look in a different boutique or to do other wedding related shenanigans 

And on the side of the road Legzi spots this rag 

And of course it’s a torn up wedding dress and suddenly she has a Vision^TM

Just Legzi being more excited about fixing up this dress than anything she could have just bought up to that point 

Because to me Legzi is someone who loves to feel like a part of the process and having all her random skills she picked up from Darkmouth 

Then design wise I wanted something puffy so I could hide how much taller I made her 

Because personally I think her using the leg stilts on her wedding day is not only very Legzi^TM but I also made myself laugh with the concept :) 

And florals because those are fun, green, and easy to make by hand (as someone who’s made a lot of ribbon flowers)!! The vines were places where the dress was really torn and needed more structural stitching 

Ryjinahs dress on the other hand I wanted to take some inspiration from her season 1 design (even though I haven’t seen it) 

Also I love a chance to draw some boob

I’ve said it before but “artists draw fan art of each other’s art” where Karina drew Ryjinah, York, Rowan, and Jacob horse all hanging out is CANON TO ME

Which is why all of those characters were invited!! :)

Anyways I imagine all the invitations had your standard stuff- names, dates, rsvp section

But where it would’ve said +1 I think Ryjinah scribbled that out and hand wrote “+2 ;)” 

Which of course Grandma would be slightly flustered by meanwhile York is like “AWESOME you guys can come!!!” 

I believe in drawtectives polycule supremacy and also York is aroace

Which also lead to my miniature leg wrestling joke :)

Oh but the second York and Rah’ōxah lock eyes they’re going to leg wrestle (Pokémon rules) 

Then they can become friends too and we can make Julia’s drawing in “pro artists redraw their old OCs” canon!!! 

Rah’ōxah is both Legzi and Ryjinahs maid of honor :) 

She’s awesome of course she can do both!!!!!!

I wish I had drawn this but to me Parker the cat officiated :)

Maybe while standing on top of Parker the horse 

Ryjinah was not pleased with this but also couldn’t say no to the combined force of Legzi and Rah’ōxah’s puppy dog eyes 

Plus Parker the cat is the only person (cat) they know who’s ordained

Oh last thing I wanted to but didn’t draw was a Rosé & Rowan interaction 

Or not even so much of an interaction but they catch each other’s gaze from across the room and freeze 

Oh more headcannons but they’re siblings to me 

I mean dyed hair? Knives? Mysterious pasts? Color schemes?? Attracted to himbos??? 

Anyways they both have moved on from their family in different directions 

So to suddenly meet again even from across the room 

Then York or Gramdma calls for Rosé and she looks away and they’re gone

But I digress 

Tbh for everyone’s outfits I kinda just went “you know what would be cute???” 

So floral dress for grandma (obviously) 

Jumpsuit + long gloves for Rosé because vibes 

Unbuttoned shirt and double breasted vest for York so he doesn’t have sleeves 

Similar thought process for Rah’ōxah because they give off similar vibes BUT I made Rah’ōxah’s the same colors as Ryjinah and Legzi so she could match both :)

Then a demon Johnny button on her outer vest kinda like the pin/broach she has in Julia’s drawing in pro artists redraw old OCs 

Rowan I just wanted to look swanky and what’s more swanky than a tailcoat? 

And for everyone but Rah’ōxah I tried to keep to their normal color schemes!! :) 

Are all these outfits practical for what I made a beach wedding on a whim? Absolutely not 

I gave pretty much all of them some sort of heels even if they are technically wedges which is better but STILL 

Beaches are fun and easy ish to draw and I never do backgrounds anyways give me a break lol 

But anyways I think that’s all my thoughts!!!

Slowly, I think I’m getting a handle on this…I tried studying the character art from my favorite dead MMORPG, Maple Story 2, and I think it helped me find a style for the shading and rendering that’s more dramatic but still sort of cartoony.

Plus, I’ve been doing a bit of script writing, which always helps me figure things out. ^^ So please enjoy the additional work I’ve done on these character concepts.

-Between these two, Magolor definitely needed the most work: you can tell because I basically drew a full character design sheet, which is something I almost never do because I don’t like repetition. XP But it doesn’t feel repetitive when I’m totally lost to begin with. ^^; I think I got a little too abstract that first time I drew him, so my focus here was to figure out the specific shape of his body and rebuild outward from there. In stark contrast to my usual Magolor designs, he’s very tall and muscular, with an imposing silhouette (especially with his cape on). Yes, he IS hiding something under all those purple bandages, but we won’t talk about it today. ;)

-I also like that his outfit gets darker the further inside you go, from the solid white cape and glittering chains, to the silver armor and gray scarves, to the skintight navy blue fit underneath. Symbolism??? Perhaps~

-Blade’s design was already pretty solid, so I just adjusted her cape a little, and then dove straight into the Rainbow Malady concept art. ^^ Phase 1 has her sprout a second eye and wings on one side of her face. Her head catches fire, as the power of the Rainbow Sword attempts to ‘burn away the darkness’. In this phase, Blade is already in a lot of pain, but remains fully conscious and can even speak, when she isn’t coughing up multicolored blood. She can recover from this on her own with a day of rest. Phase 2 is much more serious, forcing her organs outside of her body, and growing star-shaped welts over the rest of her skin. At this point, she can no longer recover without Magolor’s help-- essentially, he uses magic to shove all her organs back where they belong and stitch up the open wounds. It’s like setting a bone after it’s broken-- just as painful as the injury itself (if not more), but necessary for proper healing…which takes about a week.  Phase 3 is the last and worst, transforming her arms into elongated wings and her whole body into burning plasma, on top of all the issues from Phase 2. Thankfully, she can’t really remain conscious in this phase-- she’s usually delirious from fever, blood loss, and her brain literally burning away. ^^; Storywise, she needs about a month to recover from this, so she doesn’t use it too often…of course, as the 'player', you can put her through it as many times as you want. =T

-Fun fact, I guess: So the primary love language between these two characters is food. ^^ I was musing about what I could do with a protagonist arc centered around worsening illness (which is…surprisingly rare), and I thought, “so what do you do for sick people? You put them to bed, you manage their symptoms, you clean and comfort them…and most importantly, you feed them.” And then ^that little doodle basically came to me in a dream, and from there evolved the idea of Magolor showing kindness to Blade by cooking for her.

Most of the time, the little affection Magolor shows to Blade is…basically performative. Think of it like a hammy supervillain petting their cat-- it’s more of a character stim than anything else. ^^; The way Magolor talks to Blade (and especially the way he talks about her…) makes it clear that the hand-holding and headpats don’t mean much.

But on the other hand, giving Blade food and watching her cutely devour it, especially during the times when she’s bed-ridden and he doesn’t see her as often…I like to think that might genuinely endear her to him a little, enough to make it a sort of stand-out gesture. Like, if he strokes her forehead when she’s sick, that’s whatever; but when he spends 5 hours making a Maxim tomato consommé for her to eat, that’s him trying to say he cares. Maybe it’s just a tiny bit, maybe it’s just in that moment, but a small part of him truly wants her to be happy.

Alright, it's time for the first big event of two...

INARI GOT A REFERENCE SHEET!!!

Can I got a "Yippee!" for my girl? And for me, because this took me 17 hours, according to my art program.

Look at her! Isn't she adorable? Open bangs version and LOTS of rambles under the cut, plus a bit of bonus content <3

SO. Rambling time:

The left outfit is based off an even older outfit based off Enel's outfit I drew for Inari back when I came up with her. New and improved.

She's got poofy pants with the same pattern as Enel's pants, though her pants aren't quite as poofy as his. Also, different colors. She's also got the wraparound thingy over it (which I just realized doesn't go all the way around here oopsies - imagine that it does) and the same sash as Enel.

Obviously, Inari can't be shirtless in this society, so I gave her a nice bustier.

The jewelry is also a nod to Enel.

The little purple-ish fabric bit is a nod to God's Army.

NOW. The Post-Timeskip outfit. I had a whole bunch of references for this. The concept that I had in mind was that, before the timeskip, Inari is still struggling with how to be an individual, so she'd be stealing the other Straw Hats' clothes a lot and letting them pick outfits for her. But after the timeskip, she has her own fashion sense - one so girly that it drives Zoro insane.

The shirt with it's peter pan collar and poofy sleeves in reminiscent of the Wonderland theme of Totto Land. Plus a nice bow to go with it.

Lots of the Charlotte siblings wear some sort of fur and a cape, so I wanted that for Inari too. But I had to find her version of the fur and cape, so I settled on a capelet with a fur trim and a cute little hood.

Inari is wearing a friendship bracelet for each of her younger siblings, except for Anglaise - who gave her the caterpillar ring - and Flampe, whom she dislikes.

I decided not to use the ruffled bracelet thingies so I could give her the friendship bracelects instead and added in the kitsune mask later so I could have a reference for the face on the stockings.

first of all, he'd not be half as smashed up as liz was. he wanted to be cute and whatever, and his goal is. not killing ppl lmao.

so he goes back and gets a discarded unused circus baby faceplate from the bunker. its old and the faceplates dont move well at all (rusty and stuck together, mostly) but its not horrible. its also cracked a bit but. what can you do?

instead of wires and whatever i think hed want something softer to use for hair so i gave him some sort of fucked up string. its thick and fluffy but falling appart :( poor dude he also got other discarded animatronic concepts that william and henry kept in case they wanted to use them elsewhere. evan still has the claw on one hand but the other is an unnecessarily large paw (he cant exactly remember why at this point, but he loves bears so the paw caught his eye)

his outfit is just cloathes he found in the garbage and therefore doesnt fit well. and his torso is just the usual circus baby torso if not a bit fucked up by all the time itd been left in the bunker. its also cracked and rusty similar to his mask

his feet r just whatever he could find, but those wont even be seen a lot bc hes in the vents so who cares

the big paw is also one of the same as what molten freddy dug up to replace the rubber hose esque hands ennard had (not REALLY rubber hose but meant to look the part yk?)

as for evs relationship w cbby, its complicated. he initially wants nothing to do with the animatronic or possessing it, but when he sees liz he suddenly wants to seize control (hence bouncing between circus baby and evan)

at that time, there was still a pretty clear line between evan and cbby, bc of how hed avoided her n shit in a way bc he cant. he cant leave her lmao but he just didnt try to BE her. still while SL takes place the line does blur between him and cbby.

post scoop he finds mike and tells him about elizabeth and for a while michael keeps him seperate from the other animatronics bc yk, having someone he KNEW was his sibling and who KNEW his identity helped him and michael is the most conscious of everyone. and so he once again was aware of who he was but when michael and the funtimes both dumped him they reallty merged and it became unclear who was who (which lead to his memories getting fucked wehn he was rebuilding himself) and just overall hes weird and Not Evan Anymore. especially because evan being rejected by michael compared to circus baby being abandoned by william and the funtimes and that pain of being thrown to the curb causing anger in both that ended with them having such similar ideas and feelings that they might as well be the same entity

as far as interactions go, they really didnt interact much for a VERY long time and when they did it was quick and uncomfortable. but when evan tried to wrestle control back its started a weird silent relationshi

Circus baby did not want to get rid of him, she didnt entirely know what he was ("I still hear her sometimes" yk?) other than shed killed him and sometimes shed say things she didnt think.

evan didnt like how everything was going with elizabeth, so he wanted to subtly steer her elsewhere. however, between his own bitterness at her leaving him alone and inadvertently causing his death, and circus baby and him becoming one, he eventually began leading her to the scooper.

and evan is a lot more convincing than circus baby was.

its not until he's set free that evan is actually evan again

Drone god/goddess concept art I drew more information under the picture:

First of all: I don't have a drawing tablet or like a large touch screen and pencil and I don't like the screen moving except for maybe tiny details so I need a large screen with art that is locked in place like paper to draw digitally so I did it on paper

Anyway on the left is the full art which I now realize was a stupid decision as I should have done it on the right to minimize the art streaking because I'm left handed but on the right is the line art. I didn't draw hands as that's the hardest part. I did draw the hands on the glove concept just to show what it would look like if done correctly, same with the heel concept but reverse.

The mask itself has essentially a "breathing hole" in the front. The god doesn't need to breathe so it's there for aesthetic purposes and if anyone wants to make this an actual mask. I took a lot from drones I saw on the internet and tried to incorporate as much as I could into it's design. The tubes on the mask just go into the suit as shown with the head concept the tubes on the mouth go back and into the head and combine onto the larger tube in the back of it's head going to probably an oxygen tank or something. I realize as I was finishing this that it's sort of like the Pokémon Mewtwo but that was entirely coincidental. The visor is, well first and foremost it's eyes but Secondly it can make that visor into a Hypnotic spiral to create more drones although I will go over it's personality later.

The hair isn't actual hair as it doesn't even have a scalp the "hair" is there to make is seem both more intimidating but also less at the same time as the more human it looks the more approachable something is.

It's skin is made entirely of a latex-like substance hence all the shiny bits I did mess up on the legs on that part as I originally used marker but after I did that I couldn't draw in the shadows so I opted for a metallic black paint painting over the original marker so the legs do look a bit jank compared to the arms. The shoulders I stole from some of Lady Gaga's outfits, it also helps to make it's shoulders seem wider, therefore more intimidating.

Originally I wanted to do ballet heels for it's feet instead of normal heels but I wanted it to be more of a "mother of all drones" type thing so it would have to look more dominant so I chose to not do ballet heels, instead opting for near-thigh-high-boot-heels as the lip of the boots (and also elbows) would prevent it from moving comfortably when walking (or doing arm gestures)

I purposely put her in an A-Pose as I just wanted to see her in her base standing form before I put her where she basically lives, which I may also post when I finish this. I would have posted this on my soon to be general blog where that would hold all my story telling things, however as this character is more... erotic in nature I opted to post it here

Anyway with its personality it fully thinks that being a drone is first of all must be completely consensual, anyone caught forcing someone to become a drone against his/her will (Including their but this is storytelling so just assume I mean anyone when I say his/her) due to it being the top of the hivemind and is the only drone capable of independent thought they WILL be caught will be Hunted down by it (or some kind of drone, it depends on how I want to take this story, maybe all active drones) and have something done (don't know what yet) and the person force droned will be taken extreme care of by the goddess and given an option of whether or not that person wishes to leave. Nextly, all human drones (so drone converts) must be human at least once or twice a week, for example if you are being a drone because you are depressed and just don't want to feel, that's perfectly okay with the god but if you never want to come out you will be kicked out of being a drone for 24 hours if you stay a drone for too long. Then it doesn't care why you decided to become a drone, it could be for sex, depression, productivity, but all it does care about is if you take care of yourself. Anyone who does decide to be a drone, however will always not only be taken care of by it but also it will always try to protect it's drones. Finally it will never force anyone to become a drone (except maybe those who abuse the power of dronification to have power over people) and will gladly show anyone who think that what it does is evil, the reason why people come to it to be a drone.

There is of course a hierarchy of drones but I haven't ironed out all the details yet. The place where it basically lives, however, is in a ceo like office on a computer behind the desk where the central Hive of drones go to. That place is sort of like a hotel for drones, and it's free to stay in if your a drone as well.

it might be difficult to see the words “Nuka-Cola” on the bottle in between the Fredbear Doll & The Deltarune Symbol, so it might be best to click on the drawing to make it bigger, it will also let you see the Meteor Fragment from The Super Mario Bros 1993 Movie, more better I think....I tried my best to draw that fragment, and I hope I did okay on it.

I wanted to try different looks for Spinel, in the Spinelluva Boss AU...

this would be her third form, she of course had poofed and her conciseness manifestation of light had retreated back into her gem.

in all four concepts of her mature new form, she pretty much looks a little the same, but she is given a more air of maturity.

in this form, she is slightly taller than her two previous forms, but still keeping some of the looks of her second form.

I could think over if the 1# look, could be her first new mature form, and after poofing about three times, before reaching her fourth form where she goes back to having two ponytails, but them being much longer than her previous ones, and her having spiked wristbands and a collar/choker...

the rest of her outfit would still be the same, only some parts of it would be in a different color from the other three.                      

in the 4# form, it has her wearing lipstick...

in all three different concepts of her new fanon form for Spinelluva Boss AU...

she is possibly around Blitzo’s height, but in theory in her previous second form, she may have been around Millie & Moxxie’s height.

and if she was in her first form, she would probably be up to both Millie & Moxxie’s shoulders, possibly have been a bit shorter than them in her first form

but in her second form she would possibly be the same height as them.

but in her third form, she is taller than them now...

in Spinelluva Boss Au, Spinel never met with White, Yellow and Blue on Earth, and end up going with them to Homeworld and becoming new friends & family.

she instead ends up going to Hell, but of course she is very much alive when she did so, and wasn’t shattered...

and yes this is a spoiler from what I had wrote, but she was taken there by I.M.P. but their originally plan was to take out someone who was suppose to be at Beach City, but because of the situation that had to do with Spinel, they had to try again on a later day...and the target happen to be Greg’s Ex-Manager “Marty”....

and while Spinel ends up being saved by the I.M.P and brought to their work place, she ends up becoming a part of I.M.P.

even though she has a different look in this drawing, she is still a Jester...

but she’s a “Freelance Jester”, and if you think about it, she would be like the “Harley Quinn” To Fizzarolli’s or Robo-Fizz’s “Joker”....

picture her reaching in her gem and pulling out a Hammer and twirling it in her hand before getting ready to wack Robo-Fizz or Ozzie’s Fizzy.

and like any gem, she can shape-shift, and not just stretch.

so if she wanted to, she could probably make herself look like Ozzie, Alastor, Angel Dust, Blitzo, Robo-Fizz and possibly anyone else she had met or heard about by watching on TV or from a newspaper.

in theory, when shape-shifting a gem could change the color of their palette to match who they are taking the form of, but their gem would stay the same both in color and on the place it is on their body.

so if Spinel could shape-shift into a perfect copy of whoever she chooses,

what would be different about the forms she takes, even if she matches them almost perfectly, they would end up having her gem on their chest, or rather it would still be her, so it would still be her...

         it be funny if she shape-shift in the form of Charlie’s Dad, and did what Amethyst did when she shape-shift to look like Pearl...

like picture Spinel who looks like Lucifer Morningstar, and ends up slapping “his” own butt while making the same sound that Amethyst did when impersonating Pearl.

and picture Charile, Vaggie and Lilith watching and trying to hold in their laughter from what Spinel is doing in the disguise Lucifer form.

anyway, when I can I will have this drawing be part of a Cover for a Chapter...

Nostalgia

I'm going to relive my history with the site a lil, but it's already running long, so I'll put it under a readmore.

When I was first told of Neopets in ~2000 I was frequenting a Digimon oekaki (drawing board) and drawing Lopmon/Floramon/Kiwimon with alarming regularity. I joined Neopets because friends on the oekaki asked me to. I made a blue shoyru, which I painted purple because I liked the user hrobi's purple shoyru Antorcha and the art on the site card for Antikia Lighten. I think at the time I thought the site made the card based on the user's pet.

I joined my friends' guild, and in a guild event I won a silver paint brush and re-painted my shoyru. It was actually pretty interesting, because I was trying to make her look mirror-shiny in art I made of her, and that taught me a lot about colouring. I played for a bit over a year. I legit talked about 9/11 as it happened in that guilds' lil chat area. I had to calm down an American kid who went by the name 'Piggy' because her parents were REALLY upset about it and she was panicking. And shortly after I lost interest and the login details.

When I came back March 1st 2002, I made my kuroi_muchi account but occasionally I would look up my first account. It was wiped in the purge, however. The first pet I made on my kuroi_muchi account was a gelert... But I didn't connect with the old gelert art and didn't feel inspired by it.. Also, I forgot to capitalise her name, and that bothered me. I pounded her. She still exists on-site, but now she's a Woodland Poogle. As I write this, she is 8005 days old, so she is almost 22 years old, like my account. Her owner plays semi-regularly, but was last spotted about three months ago.

I still have the second pet I ever made on my current main, but she's on a side account. She's a Halloween Aisha named Itla, and given I always drew the red 'outfit' as part of her fur I don't want to remove it to put other clothes on her... She was my first serious roleplay character (a demon catgirl RP'd on MSN messenger) and now I like to joke that she's happily retired.

Shortly after making kuroi_muchi, I found a Neopet-themed Oekaki called 'Sako's Oekaki'. This drawing board was accessed via Sako the then-shadow aisha's petpage. Sako's petpage is now a jumbled mess of broken script, but it mentions the Oekaki to this day.

My Halloween aisha was quite popular there! The board focused quite a bit on aishas and roleplay, as well as art. There was an ongoing theme with angel and demon aishas - and my Halloween girl was obviously one of the demons. I'm not even going to say it was cringe - we were kids playing with concepts of belief and morality. I feel like that's pretty important when you are developing your world views. I made a lot of very dear friends there. Actually, I met my first ever girlfriend there. Long distance, but cute and meaningful. One of my friends from that board wanted to make plushie pets together, to match. Plushie grundo/chomby MPs were under 100k np, so we made those. He made a grundo, and I made Kijiwa the plushie chomby. And I kinda fell in love with plushie neopets after that. I wanted to make more... but then conversion happened and they lost a lot of their charm, and gosh they were EXPENSIVE, so I didn't until much later.

When the purge happened a lot of people had long lists of names they wanted, but I only had one. My name is Rain, and I like birds, and I like the meaning of 'rainbird' - a bird that sings to warn of an incoming storm. Rainbird was the only name I grabbed when it was released, and they became the pet to represent me. For a while I lab zapped them, unsure what would work as 'me'... But I eventually decided that they had to be a bird, and I would acknowledge my love of plushies and try to draw them the way they should look. So Rainbird is a plushie bruce. If Toy had been around I might have been tempted, to be honest! But I quite enjoy my fat purple penguin.

Rainbird is female on-site (but uses they/them) because I made them before my own public transition. It's one of the few things I might like to change, if it becomes easier/cheaper in the future. I am aligned more with masculinity than femininity, but... Well, it's fine to have little markers of how I've grown. Hell, I 'announced' my transition subtly with art of Rainbird. Before the pride flags were added to the site, and when discussion of the subject was against the rules. I wasn't discussing it, though. I just... drew a bruce wearing a bow.

I think I won a gold BC trophy for this picture.

It's probably silly that I can connect a lot of memories to a pet site. It's probably silly that I have a rainbow chomby plushie on my desk right now, when I'm in my mid-30s. It's probably silly how sentimental I'm feeling about all this. It's probably silly to be running a blog dedicated to a 25 year old site and the art that people make based on it. Sometimes it's nice to be silly.

This year I made Teald - based on an OC I have been writing and roleplaying for years. It felt like coming back, looping around to something familiar. I will take inspiration from strange places, and I will bring my inspiration back to places I know. I am glad the NCUCs came back - realistically, that faerie lenny mp probably would have sat in my SDB for years more. I just don't like the converted lenny art. But I knew that if Teal was anything, they'd be a faerie lenny.

I don't know why I felt like sharing all of this. Perhaps this too is a little marker I am leaving online, so I can look at it years from now and remember. If you read it all... well, thanks. Thanks for coming on this stroll down memory lane with me. There's more I didn't add - I have many more Neopets, after all! But this felt worth sharing, or at least writing down somewhere.

Heyyy how long have I not posted here? Like actually 2 fuckin years or something?? Who knows!

Anyway, I am very busy with uni work (I'm on my final year! Can you believe that bc I can't), and because they require us to keep a record of everything we do, I don't really feel like posting here (where I used to ramble). Also, the whole AI debacle put me off posting my big finalized paintings, which is what this blog was for. And so, it was abandoned.

I also have a secret side blog for an unnamed brain rot game that has consumed much of my free time lol

So, why am I posting now? Well, I wanted to post about this somewhere, and this isn't (technically) uni work, or related to the brain rot game...

On the left, is Lykena, drawn around 2021, last time I made large changes to her design.

On the right, is her newest design, still a WIP, but like, fuck man. This looks like a whole different person drew it lmao.

I am always blown away by the sheer difference every time I go back to that time, even 2021 compared to 2022 is kinda like this, and I'm like ???

Okay I should talk about the actual fuckin design instead of being incoherent lol. So I was going for her being not exactly pretty. She's still pretty, don't get me wrong (maybe I'm biased but I love her ok), but she's flawed. Eye bags, underbite, messy hair, and not to mention her scars. The little superficial lines on the 2021 are cowardly, in my honest opinion, and if you give a character scars, go all in.

In the 2025 version, I also showed her before the story really takes off (aka before she gets powers, and gets injured by her god) and God she's so <333

Also, finally she looks androgynous. I'm heavily considering bringing back an idea I had a longgg time ago, to make Rana Bigender (she/he) because I need to make everything gayer, and she does get mistaken as a man in earlier parts of the story, so like why not?

I didn't even say why I'm doing this fuck. So I want more pieces for my concept art portfolio (more... current ones at least), and re-designing the main 4 from Old Blood seemed like just the thing to do. I've been wanting to redesign them forever now, didn't really get the opportunity until now.

So I will have a full outfit redesign for him in the near future (hopefully). I already have a bunch of cool ideas for it, made a whole moodboard lol

I'm not promising I'm back, but I will be finishing my degree soon (what a concept), and idk maybe I miss rambling here. It's not as... social? As the sideblog (it's... scarily popular for God knows why haha, somehow I got a lot of followers and notes, I honestly still can't wrap my head around that) but I kinda like that there's no pressure on me here. I can post whatever I want, because I know maybe 10 people will see it.

-5.The Future of WoaS/ WoaS special extras-

We have nearly reached the end of what I have prepared for this day! I hope you loved it as much as I did so far!

But now, I'll have to adress some issues:

I know that I said AND promised that I would storyboard the entirety of WoaS, but because of personal things and school (and the fact that WoaS is still being developed in some places) I have decided to stop doing storyboards. I'm not proud either that I'm deciding to do this, but I hope you understand.

But don't worry! WoaS will still be continued, just in chapter form. To make up for the missing storyboards, I plan to draw pictures of some scenes of each chapter. It is not the same, I know, but I hope you understand and accept this idea.

To make you (and me) feel better: Let me share you some sneak peaks to upcoming things and characters:

The WoaS!7 Teens:

During the planning in the earliest days of WoaS and even today, the decision of adding the 7 Teens or not was always hard for me. But after the encouragement of @starss-artss , the decision was made.

I do not have any colored versions yet, since I made their designs very recently. All are based on the concept art and actual movie.

Despite the very late conceptualization, I did already come up with some scenes, and have started working a little on their personality.

WoaS!Flazino:

Yes, you've read that correctly, Flazino is in my rewrite aswell. But he is a different character now.

Remember the "Welcome to Rosas" Storyboards? You can see WoaS!Flazino in them. He is the kid with one arm:

When I drew the storyboards, I didn't have him in mind as a side-chacter. But thanks to something later in the plot that involves him and his dad, I thought that he should get an upgrade from a background character.

Don't worry, he has a better Outfit now:

He also wants to join the 7 Teens and WoaS!Asha and Orion on their adventures, but he's too young (12 Years old) and gets told "No." alot. But he sneaks after them and tries to be helpfull.

The Magic Books

If you remember from the early WoaS drafts, there was the book of dark magic that only Amaya used.

In this current version, the Royals don't use it that much. And the "Book of Dark Magic" also has a counterpart, "The Book of Light Magic".

The ones who made these books were the Stars. They wanted to write down every spell they knew. Old ones, new ones, all of them.

They actually wanted to put the spells into one book, but there was some debate: Some spells were more dangerous than others. So they decided to split the book into two books, one full of "good" spells and "evil" spells. If you were to read the two books, you'd find that some spells are in both books. The reason? It really depends on the purpose you use these spells for. These spells were in a morally "grey zone" and it was decided that they should be written into both books.

The Wishes

In my rewrite, the Wishes are trapped in crystals shaped like stars. I made this choice because I thought it would be ironic that Wishes were trapped in something that usually grants them.

The crystal stars are usually light blue but if they interact with star magic they turn golden. If they interact with dark magic they glow purple.

The lights (aka Wishes) are similar to the lights that keep a Star alive. Stars don't have hearts that keep them alive, instead they have a light where the heart is. It is also the source of their powers.

Stars can take pieces of their light to give wands magic, but that makes them weaker since they're giving away pieces of their life-source.

This idea of giving their light away also is used in marriage proposals. If two stars decide to get married they give eachother a piece of their light. But if they get divorced, the piece that they recieved from their partner stops glowing thus weakening the star a bit.

It’s me again, back at my digital tablet, working on yet another piece of artwork. This time, I’ve ventured into the world of fan art. You see, I’ve always been fascinated by characters from cartoons and their intricacies—how they’re drawn, what makes them tick, and how they resonate with us on such personal levels. Today, my subject is Lori Loud, a character from the animated series "The Loud House." As the eldest of the Loud siblings, Lori has this aura of authority and sass that makes her stand out, and that’s precisely what drew me to her.

The finished piece shows Lori in all her glory, a snapshot of her personality and style. I worked hard on every detail of her appearance, from the golden shine of her hair to the way her outfit tells a story. Lori’s blonde hair, which cascades just below her ears, is thick and voluminous, almost reminiscent of a sunflower in full bloom. It has this glossy sheen that catches the light, making her stand out no matter the setting. I chose to keep her hair colour vibrant, like liquid gold, matching its bright and bold character. Her hairstyle has a slight bounce to it, with soft curves framing her face, giving her a youthful yet confident look.

Her eyes are another story entirely. They’re large and expressive, a striking light blue that matches the colour of a clear summer sky. I added a touch of soft blue eyeshadow to enhance her gaze, subtly blending it with the natural warmth of her skin tone. It was important for me to capture that confidence in her expression, the kind that says, “I know who I am, and I’m not afraid to show it.” Lori also wears pearl earrings—tiny white orbs that dangle delicately from her ears. They add a touch of sophistication to her overall look, a small but noticeable nod to her fashion sense.

Now, let’s talk about her outfit. Lori sports a light blue tank top, which I read somewhere was originally the top part of her mother’s old girdle. I thought this detail was fascinating—it gives her attire a sense of history, a hand-me-down that she made her own. The tank top hugs her frame comfortably, not too tight but fitted enough to highlight her athletic build. For the bottom half, she wears brown cargo shorts. These are practical yet stylish, with deep pockets perfect for holding her essentials. The shorts are slightly rolled up at the hem, a small detail I added to give her outfit a more relaxed vibe. On her feet, Lori wears light blue slip-on shoes, matching the hue of her tank top. The simplicity of her footwear complements the overall casual yet chic aesthetic of her ensemble.

At 18 years old, Lori is the oldest of the Loud siblings, and she carries this title with a mix of pride and exasperation. Being the eldest in a family of eleven children isn’t easy, and Lori’s personality reflects the challenges and responsibilities that come with her role. She’s bossy, sure, but that bossiness is often a mask for her deep care for her siblings. I wanted to capture this duality in her posture—hands on her hips, standing tall and confident, yet with a softness in her eyes that hints at her nurturing side.

Lori’s journey as a character is just as fascinating as her personality. She’s an alumna of Royal Woods High School, where she shared the hallways with her sisters Leni, Luna, and Luan. These years were formative for her, shaping her into the person she is today. Currently, Lori is taking a gap year at Fairway University, a decision that speaks to her pragmatic nature. She’s not rushing through life; instead, she’s taking the time to figure things out, to find her path.

One of the most intriguing episodes involving Lori is "Time Trap!". In this episode, Lori and her siblings accidentally altered history, leading to a timeline where their parents decided not to have any children. It’s a chilling concept—Lori, along with the rest of the Loud kids, was erased from existence. It’s a testament to her character that, even in this alternate timeline, her absence was profoundly felt. The episode ended with Lisa and Lily preventing this timeline alteration, restoring Lori and her siblings to their rightful place. It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of family and the unique roles we play within it.

Lori’s personality is a complex mix of traits. She has a temper, no doubt about it, and she can come across as rude or condescending to those who don’t know her well. But beneath that tough exterior lies a heart of gold. Lori is fiercely loyal and kind, especially to those she cares about. She has a particular attachment to her possessions, especially her phone, which she considers her most valuable object. It’s not just a device for her—it’s a lifeline, a way to stay connected to Bobby, her boyfriend. I made sure to include a subtle nod to this detail in my artwork, with Lori’s left pocket slightly bulging, as if her phone is tucked safely inside.

Her territorial nature is another defining trait. Lori doesn’t like people touching her things, and she’s quick to yell at anyone who enters her room without permission. It’s not about being mean; it’s about maintaining her sense of order in a chaotic household. As the eldest sibling, Lori craves a sense of control, and her room is her sanctuary. Lori's need for control is also reflected in the meticulous organisation of her belongings, with each item carefully placed in its designated spot. This attention to detail showcases her desire for structure and stability in her life, a stark contrast to the chaos she often faces outside of her room.

Beyond her bossy exterior, Lori has a softer side that comes out in her interests and hobbies. She’s a skilled golfer, a talent that played a significant role in her decision to attend Fairway University. Golf is more than just a sport for Lori—it’s a way to channel her energy, focus and improve herself. However, she’s not immune to nervousness, which can sometimes hinder her performance. I imagine her taking a deep breath, steadying herself before each swing, a testament to her determination and resilience.

Fashion is another area where Lori shines. She shares this interest with her sister Leni, though their approaches are quite different. While Leni enjoys creating clothes, Lori prefers offering fashion advice. Their shared love for fashion has led to countless squabbles over borrowed clothes, but it’s also a bonding point for the two sisters. In my artwork, I tried to reflect Lori’s keen fashion sense through the careful coordination of her outfit—every piece, from her tank top to her shoes, was chosen with intention.

Lori’s romantic side is perhaps one of her most endearing qualities. Her relationship with Bobby is a central part of her character, and she goes out of her way to plan elaborate dates and express her affection for him. She also enjoys giving love advice to her siblings and gets excited whenever she suspects one of them has a crush. This romantic streak is something I wanted to capture in her expression—a dreamy look in her eyes as if she’s lost in thoughts of her next date with Bobby.

Nutrition is another interest of Lori’s, though it’s not always well-received by her siblings. They often complain about her “health kicks,” but Lori’s enthusiasm for healthy eating is part of what makes her unique. I like to think that her love for bean chips and other nutritious snacks is a reflection of her caring nature—she wants the best for herself and her family, even if they don’t always appreciate it. Lori's passion for nutrition extends beyond just her well-being; she often tries to educate her family on the benefits of healthy eating, despite their resistance. Her dedication to living a healthy lifestyle is not just a personal choice, but a way for her to show love and care for those around her.

And so, another digital piece is complete, another chapter in my journey as an artist. Lori Loud may be just a cartoon character, but to me, she’s so much more. She’s a reminder of the complexities of family life, the importance of staying true to oneself, and the beauty of embracing our unique quirks and qualities. As I save the final file and close my tablet, I can’t help but wonder who my next subject will be. But for now, I’m content to bask in the glow of this completed work, a tribute to a character who, in her own loud and proud way, has left an indelible mark on my artistic journey.

I don’t even own a stylus, and drew this all with my finger on an iPad, so forgive the quality of the art.

I’ve had tons of ideas for fics, and no time to write them lately. This one is an age swap AU, where everything is the same for the most part on Eda’s end. She gets cursed, and finds the door to the human realm, just like we see in the canon flashbacks. But that’s where stuff gets to be different. Luz is the middle aged one, and takes care of Eda while she sticks around in the human world. Her design remains mostly unchanged, but she does have a red skirt she wears with a tear in it, and black shorts underneath.

The idea I’ve got for Luz is that she’s a single mom, taking care of her daughter, Camila. She’s a burnt out fantasy writer, and lost a lot of her childlike wonder, whimsy, and enthusiasm for the genre she used to love. Her editor is pounding at the door for her next book, but Luz has writers block, and is getting behind on the bills. Meeting Eda, she finds a new muse, and wants to learn about magic in exchange for teaching Eda how the human world works. A lot of her design is taken straight from concept art for her appearance in the epilogue, I just combined a few of the outfits I liked and made her look older.

Camila is Luz’s daughter. She’s not really into the fantasy books her Mom writes, but she loves science fiction, especially Cosmic Frontier. She’s really nerdy and wears her interests on her sleeve. Her love of CF has left her to be picked on and ostracized in school, though she keeps quiet about it, not wanting to pile on more trouble for her mom, when she knows they’re already struggling financially. Her design takes a lot from her appearance in one of the flashbacks when Luz was little, mostly the hair. The glasses are from one of Luz’s concept arts again.

I haven’t really put that much thought into the rest of this AU, so feel free to contribute what you think the rest of the cast would be up to if you’d like. I’d like to imagine that somehow, Luz meets Amity and it’s dorky love all over again, but what Amity is like or what she’s doing evades me.

happy launch day, kayo! she's my little pookie i love her so much that i bully her constantly through the narrative

in honor of today, i'll be dumping some REALLY old doodles (really old = two-three months ago) when i started working on her! unlike most of my dumps, i'll be describing and giving more context to the drawings! think of it as a little timeline of her development :D

drawing 1: our earliest kayo?!

this was dated january 17 2023. yeah. 2023. this year.

geez, was that really my art style just three months ago?

yes, unfortunately. though i'll attribute the fact that kayo looks 12 here mostly to the fact that i was still getting used to using an ipad to draw--still, you can really see that i had her design 90% down from the start. just changed her parting a little and removed the flower accessory + little ombre(?) in her hair.

at first, she was going to be a LOT closer to yui, but then if she was, she would've intervened as early as more blood, which was not something i was aiming for. plus, isn't it more fun thinking that she barely knows her (and yet pulls the stunt of taking her place for her sake... what a loser)

also, at first, she was going to just be straight up meaner for no reason. like literally just the worst person you can think of, but a problem with that is that she would definitely get killed if she was just horrible and toxic. plus, that was kind of boring on my end as well, so she kind of turned into a meowmeow.

adding to the old concept though, all her endings were supposed to be bad endings! then i scrapped that really quickly when i changed her personality...

drawing 2: our earliest hunter!

same day as the first drawing... yeouch.

as you can see, her hair was supposed to be a lot neater--and flatter--as a hunter. the cross clip is a lot smaller, and her palette was all over the place. like come on, why is her coat pink??

speaking of which, i changed hunter kayo to being a little messier than her old version because of a change in personality. this proto-hunter kayo still feels emotions very well. in fact, even more intensely than bride kayo. she's constantly angry--for what she went through as a young girl, for losing her eye--just a lot of things.

drawing 3: early outfit dump

i made the file for this drawing on january 19, but i believe i updated it as late as early march.

as you can see, it's really just outfit concepts. most of them are the same as the current outfit concept art--thanks to, well, me updating this file until march. you might be familiar with the three on the right, and the lost eden + dark fate outfit is practically the same as the one i posted. the hdb/mb outfit changed the most out of those three: i suctioned it to kayo's body to emphasize her figure more lol (i am the biggest kayo simp in the end)

as for the first two, you can see they were labelled for chaos lineage and lunatic parade! the chaos lineage outfit is probably already like 90% down for me, but the lunatic parade one is peculiar because, well, i scrapped it entirely. it's a cute outfit, for sure, but i didn't think it was kayo's style in the end. perhaps it might get the same hdb/mb outfit treatment and get tweaked to match her better, but i think her current lunatic parade design is solid!

drawing 4: early cg concepts

honestly, this is still really good, and i'm still planning on adding this scenario to laito's route. it's just that, once again, kayo is suffering from the bug-eyed twelve year old syndrome i was going through since january. plus i was (still am) bad at drawing men, so laito kind of came out looking like a really strange looking lady lol. it's so embarrassing i even had to crop it out.

drawing(s) 5: whoa sailor outfits?!

i actually drew this just two weeks after the last one--march 10th! you can clearly see my art style shifting at this point; i'm starting to think it's the switch from sketching with a soft brush to a hard brush.

this was, if you didn't already guess, in honor of the aquamarine series! of course, there are two: one for the hunter and one for the bride!

i have this running theme of "what would reiji (biggest discreet pervert) make bride kayo wear?" and that man loves his kayo legs, so naturally she had to wear thigh highs and an awkwardly short skirt. at least hunter kayo got away with just a crop top.

you can see something hanging on the hunter's waist--it's actually a demon hunting relic!

drawing 6: hunter kayo in ryotei au cgs?!

very recent drawing--dated march 29!

now, hunter kayo actually doesn't attend ryotei at any point of the series. it just so happens that i thought she'd look really hot in the uniform, and ta-da--i made an au! being an au, it's not canon, but i like to think she has a small route with shuu that doesn't really end well as you'd expect.

still, the sight of her kissing him as he bites on her knife is very very cool. keep up the good work hunter!

this is really just kayo in high school after seiji's treatment of her started getting to her properly. i wonder what she's praying and why...

BONUS 1: CATGIRL KAYO!!

i was in the middle of making this post when a certain catboy-baiter (@poohwhin side eyes...) posted................

i love humans with animal features (i.e. not humanoid animals aka what you'd typically think of when you think of furries...) and genshin already devastated me with not only keqing but DEHYA being fake catgirls, so to recover emotionally i naturally made kayo a catgirl. ougggg she's so cute

BONUS 2: a kayoyui route?!

Yes. and it's finished. i just have to make the cgs and post it.

i mostly made it as a kind of exercise in making routes, since, well, i have to start making a lot. it only has five individual scenarios in the dark, manic, and ecstasy section, but it still has a prologue and epilogue. there are also only two endings!

it also serves to delve a bit more into the hunter's character, since bride kayo is the main focus of the blog. let's give her a little love, yknow!! even if she can't give any back...
